Copenhagen, Denmark

The City of Copenhagen is a large metropolitan area, of 580,000 inhabitants, which is experiencing population growth and its related challenges, including increased urban freight flows and service trips.

The objective of the case study is to develop a Sustainable Urban Logistics and Freight Plan for Copenhagen, based on three pillars: solid understanding of the UFT situation and trends; business engagement in the Plan definition; and public-private co-creation of the Plan. This will be achieved by collecting data to better understand business needs; receiving best practice guidance on policies; and reviewing the existing planning and regulatory system with the business stakeholders.
