More than 120 participants from 26 countries attended few days ago (26-27 May 2016) the 3rd Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility in Volos, Greece. Around 80 research work papers were presented by the respective authors within numerous parallel sessions.
The NOVELOG Special Session ‘City Logistics in an era of change’ was attended by 40 participants and focused on city logistics and sustainable urban mobility concepts in urban, interurban and rural areas, especially on the experience of Greece (Athens and Thessaloniki) and Austria (Graz and surrounding interurban and rural areas in the region of Styria).
The moderators and main presenters were Mr. Ablasser and Mr. Koenig from Graz and BIM respectively, whereas Athens pilot was presented by Sofia Bouki (TRAINOSE) and a case study from Thessaloniki was presented by Michael A. Gogas (University of Thessaly – UTh).
The NOVELOG goals and objectives were also presented and discussed with the attendees during the session.
The NOVELOG project was further promoted both in the opening and closure presentations given by Mr. Skayannis, dean of the UTh, and Teti Nathanail, president of the Organizing and Scientific Committee of the 3rd CSUM.
